How do let the world know that you have updated your blog? With a ping of course!

So what is a Ping? Well, a ping lets blog specific search engines, directories and other indexing services that your blog has been updated with new content. By letting these services know that you have updated your blog, you maximizing the chances of them linking to you and displaying your latest posts.

So how do you go about pinging these services? Well there are few different ways to do, but the easiest is to use a automatic blog pinging service.

Now there are plenty of these services out there but im going to have to plug Dosh’s own brand new pinging tool - DoshPing. Blog search engines such as Google and sites like Technorati have the potential to send good amounts of traffic to your blog, so its important to get the best use out of them. I recommend giving them a Ping every time you make a new post, or if you make multiple posts a day - you can probably just ping them once.
