Traffic Booster: Keywords for SEO
Jul 23rd, 2007 by Anthony
Here are some quick tips to optimize your blog for search engines through the use of Keywords.
Keywords are uber important and if you’re not using the right ones in the right way you could be missing out on a ton of Search Engine traffic.
- Use keywords in your Blogs title. This generally isn’t a big deal for bloggers as a blogs title will usually include the post’s title
- Include Keywords in each Posts Title. This post isn’t a godd example of this but I have tried to include keywords in most of my posts titles.
- Use keywords in your first sentence. This actually is pretty tricky, and its even more trickier to do it and still make the post sound good. However, with search engines paying less and less attention to meta tags, this is fairly important as many search engines look at the first few words.
- Repeat, Repeat, Repeat. This post is about SEO and Keywords so I have made good use of both of these words and related words as well. Your aim is to try and leave doubt in the search engines mind that your post is about whatever your writing about. Lets get technical - you should be looking at a keyword density of around 2-3% and no more. There is a free tool here to check you keyword density
- Use your keyword in your Domain. This really isn’t going to be practical for most blogs but it worked for me!
