The Vitals - Week 2
Jun 22nd, 2007 by Anthony
Wow! What a week it has been. I have launched 2 new websites, started to monetize this blog and prepared to launch my biggest project yet.
Traffic - BloggingDosh is averaging around 1000 visitors per week, which is awesome! If only Alexa would update and show a more realistic rank (its still just over 600,000). Traffic did level off a bit as I havn’t been doing to much promotion.
Dosh - Google Adsense has only been running on this blog for a couple of days and I can report that theres nothing to report except for $1.08. My focus for this week is going to be optimizing the ads and making them more “clickable”. I also started selling text links through DoshSale (as a kind of promotion) and BlogMeFamous took me up on my offer.
Launched - Here are the sites and features that have been added to the Dosh Network:
- DoshSale - A marketplace for bloggers. Buy and sell templates, logos, designs, advertising, hosting and more. Use coupon code “free06″ to list an item for free!
- DoshBooks - A spin-off of this blogs freebie section. In fact all this blog has is free ebook, template and software downloads.
- DoFollow - A directory of DoFollow blogs. Having some major problems with the actual code so this might come down sometime this week and be redone.
- DoshCard - This is still very much a work in progress, but you can sign up and grab the card right away. At the moment it gives you access to premium downloads on this blog (which are very cool) and some premium content. There will be more features added to the card asap. It should also get its own website as well.
I’ve Spent - This network of sites is nowhere near being profitable. For starters, sites like DoFollow are not even monetized. I have also shelled out quite a bit of dosh over the past month to make a lot of this happen. Im not going to put a figure on what has been spent but its in the hundreds.
What’s Coming - Probably the most exciting project i’ve been working on is coming on the 3rd July. Funnily enough has also been the most expensive project as well. Stay tuned for this as its going to be big!
