Quick Cash with Screensavers
Jun 10th, 2007 by Anthony
Ok here is my first post on BloggingDosh that will actually have some useful information. Here is a guide to make some quick cash by giving away software. You can make up to $100 per day using this kind of technique but it depends on what your willing to put in.
Now before I go any further you should know that although this technique is legal it isn’t a very “good” practice and could annoy a lot of people. This is just an idea!
This concept is to create a screensaver using a free tool and get paid everytime someone installs it for free. You get paid because a toolbar is also installed at the same time (see how this could be looked at as being adware)
This is an “evil” way to make money.
- Go and find 20 or so images which are copyright free or allow commercial use. These photos should be based around a specific topic like cars, Paris Hilton etc. Flickr is a great place to start.
- Grab a copy of Screen Saver Builder to create the screensaver. It isnt free but comes with a free fully functioning trial. Its pretty easy to use and you should have a fully functioning SS in minutes.
- Next step is to register at WaveRevenue. They are a Pay-Per-Install program that will pay you $0.40 per install. There are other similar companies but these guys seem to be the best. Once registered, create a link bundled with your screensaver. Instructions on how to do this are located on their site.
- Now its time to start promotion. You can submit your bundled piece of software to various download directories and also promote it on your website or blog.
Thats It! Of course you could also build your own software and do a similar thing. You can also buy software that will submit your package to hundreds of download directories automatically. Remember - this is evil!

Doesn’t seem that evil. In fact, it seems pretty inspired!
